Ready for some strokes on the Game Gear? Well, you’re probably better off looking somewhere else. World Class Leaderboard Golf is a bare-bones golf game that only makes a passing attempt at being a simulator. The gameplay is too simplistic, and the presentation is lacking. U.S. Gold scored a bogey with this one.

The Genesis isn’t wanting for golf games, and there are enough around for the average fan to find one that suits a personal preference. U.S. Gold’s World Class Leaderboard Golf is a decent entry into the genre, but it lacks the presentation that could have put it in the upper tier of console golf games. Still if you’re a fan, it’s worth some playtime.
Hurricanes
Platformers come in all shapes and sizes, and one that most American Genesis gamers missed out on involves a group of crime fighting soccer players. While it might not be the most logically sound premise for a video games, there are far worse out there, and most of those aren’t as much fun.
Super Kick-Off
Soccer is the world’s most popular sports, but that doesn’t exempt it from crappy games! There have been more than a fair share of duds from publishers over the year, and Super Kick Off sits comfortably on that list. Hey, it’s made by Tiertex! Need I say more?
Flashback: The Quest for Identity (CD)
There’s something special about games like Flashback: The Quest for Identity. With its roots planted firmly in the computer legacy left by such classics as Out of This World, the way it manages to mesh action with an amazing story captivated gamers the world over. After seeing release on the Genesis and other consoles, the Sega CD was treated to a version that boasted enhanced cut scenes and a great soundtrack. That may not seem like much of a rationale for a CD release, but considering how great the actual game is, there really isn’t much to tweak.
