Hands-On: Sonic Colors (Nintendo DS)
Sonic The Hedgehog has had mixed results in his platform outings since he roared off the Genesis, but his handheld adventures have a pretty decent track record. Preview: Sonic Colors (Nintendo Wii)
2010 marks yet another yearly effort by Sega to revitalize the Sonic franchise, and the company kicked things off last month with the release of Sonic The Hedgehog 4. November will see the debut of a new title called Sonic Colors, which looks to expand upon the type of gameplay we saw in the Sonic levels of Sonic Unleashed. To find out how things are coming along, spunky Sega-16 staffer Sebastian Sponsel (say that 3 times fast with a mouth full of marbles!) headed over to Sega Europe to give the Wii version a good hands-on. Read his full preview and see how the next step in hedgehog evolution is shaping up.

After years of nervous anticipation, the most anticipated Sonic title since the Genesis was finally released to the public. Sonic The Hedgehog 4: Episode 1 was made available for download on the Nintendo Wii late last week, and as of today it’s available on Xbox Live Arcade and the Playstation Store as well. Is it finally the Sonic game we’ve all wanted for years, or has the Sonic Cycle repeated itself once more? Our own staff writer Sebastian Sponsel muscled his way into Sega itself to get a complete hands-on, so read the full article and see if this is worth a download.
Summer of Sonic 2010
Regardless of the quality of his recent games, no one can doubt that Sonic The Hedgehog is widely recognized. In fact, the Blue Blur was once more familiar to children than both Mario and Mickey Mouse! His fans are still found far and wide, and recently, many of them came together earlier this month in London, England to celebrate a Sega-sponsored event in his honor. Summer of Sonic 2010 had a ton of cool merchandise, famous faces, and even some authentic, live Sonic tunes!
