ATP Tour Championship Tennis

As the Sega Sports brand moved forward, it continued to improve on existing titles in different sports, such as tennis. The second offering from Sega is a definite step up over the original Wimbledon, but it still doesn’t quite obtain the heights most fans were expecting this late in the console cycle.

Bouncers

Sierra came up with an offbeat take on basketball that unfortunately doesn’t execute as well as it should. An interesting concept that stands out among other Sega CD titles, Bouncers unfortunately falls flat due to uninspired gameplay and an overall lack of depth. It might still be worth looking into for the novelty factor but not much beyond that.

Night Trap

Considered one of the most controversial games in history, Night Trap earned the wrath of the U.S. Senate and helped usher in the ratings system. All the notoriety aside though, is it actually a good game? Well… no. Awkward gameplay fails to mesh with grainy video, creating an experience that’s ultimately unsatisfying. The 32X version at least had cleaner video, but this release doesn’t even have that going for it.
