Ecco’s final outing on a Sega console was a fitting coda to the series. It was beautiful, graceful, and darn hard! Even so, it was an outstanding way to end the series and give Sega’s legendary dolphin the 3D outing he deserved. This is one that should definitely be in any Dreamcast owner’s library.

Daytona USA
Roooolling Staaaaaaaaart! The Saturn’s debut racer suffered from a short draw-in distance and some rough graphics, but it played wonderfully and kept those who bought the console at launch glued to their seats for weeks. Even today, if you can get past the visuals, the game is great fun to play. Let’s go away and fly sky high with Daytona!
Golden Axe Warrior
Sega gave Master System owners a Zelda-style game set in the Golden Axe universe, and though it’s far from original, it’s a an excellent homage to Nintendo’s 8-bit classic. A large world, good story, and lots of secrets make this often overlooked title one worthy of addition to any Master System library.
Christmas NiGHTS Sampler
Saturn owners have a tradition that has not failed since 1996. Each Christmas, it’s time to break out the Christmas NiGHTS sampler and play through it! An amazing giveaway from Sega that was bundled with magazines, the disc is loaded with enough great content to keep players busy for hours. A merry Christmas indeed!
Ecco the Dolphin (MD)
You’ve undoubtedly played Ecco the Dolphin on the Genesis or European Mega Drive, but it’s worth giving the Japanese version a try. Released last, it added some features the others lacked, including a more fleshed-out story and a new stage. Together, these additions make the Japanese release the definitive cartridge version of the game.
