Take a snake and make him find his tail! That’s the basic premise behind Snake Rattle ‘n Roll, a NES game that got a major facelift for the Mega Drive. It never came stateside, but finding a copy should be easy enough, and the simple, arcade action is worth looking into.

Battletoads & Double Dragon
See, I knew that if we looked hard enough we’d find a Double Dragon game on the Genesis that’s worth playing. It took the addition of the three Battletoads, but I think we might have a winner here. Tradewest’s aptly named Battletoads & Double Dragon pits the three action-loving amphibians and Billy and Jimmy Lee against the powerful team of the Dark Queen and the Shadow Boss.

Rare’s amphibious trio came to the Genesis in 1991, and while fans were expecting a whole new adventure, what they got was a solid port of the NES original. They’d have to wait for the SNES release to get the new game they wanted, but as always, the Genesis came through with a some great gameplay….all the difficulty too!
Championship Pro-Am
The Genesis isn’t exactly known for its great library of racers, and it’s most likely for that reason that many people have passed over Championship Pro-Am. That’s a shame, as it’s undoubtedly one of the best in the genre, and worth tracking down.
