Sonic recently returned with an all-new, 2D adventure that takes the franchise back to its 16-bit glory days. We give it a full hands-on to see if it’s the game we’ve all wanted, and while there might be more of the Genesis games than new content, what’s there is exceptional.

From the Game Gear to the Sega CD, Sega’s Ecco the Dolphin was seemingly everywhere in the ’90s. What many people don’t know is that he also made an appearance on the Pico, Sega’s educational children’s console. A variation of the Ecco Jr. game was released, and we’ve given it a hands-on to see if it sinks or swims.

Hands-On: Ecco the Dolphin PC: Fixed & Enhanced Edition
Ecco the Dolphin had his original adventure ported to PC during the mid ’90s, and that version received a nice facelift via some fans over at the website Caverns of Hope. Enhancements made by Sega for the Windows ’95 edition, along with new features and fixes by Caverns of Hope, make this the definitive version of the game to play.
