Although not widely acclaimed, The Adventures of Batman & Robin for the Sega CD bears one memorable distinction: over 16 minutes of exclusive animated cut scenes that many feel constitute a “lost episode” of sorts. Lucky for you, Sega-16 has them all for your enjoyment, as well as some neat info on their history and development.

Like an aging athlete, there comes a time when a gamer’s skill just isn’t what it used to be. What is it that makes one lose one’s edge? In volume seven of Stories from the Book of Genesis, Sega-16 takes a look at one gamer’s decent into utter scrubness.
Genesis: The House of Mouse
Farmed out to several developers, the Mickey Mouse titles don’t constitute a franchise per se, as none of the games are related in any sense. Moreover, the only thing any of them have in common is the fact that they all star Mickey. This is perhaps the main reason for the varying levels of quality we find among them. Regardless, these are all games worthy of mention. Thus, in honor of Mickey Mouse’s 76th birthday, Sega-16 looks back on all of his adventures in 16-bit.

The Shining series is alive and well, with perhaps the best release since Shining Force III on the Saturn. The newest game, Shining Force NEO, is a solid action/RPG, and while it may not be the classic Force game we all wanted, it’s an incredible game in its own right.
