Basketball Nightmare is a great example of a good idea with poor execution. It’s not a bad game, but it wastes so much potential that you’re left wanting more. The result is a mediocre basketball game that wears out its welcome pretty quickly.

Captain Planet and the Planeteers
While not inherently a bad game, it suffers from a wide range of problems that combine to keep the good captain from reaching his full potential. There are some good ideas here, but sadly no amount of heart can make Captain Planet’s Genesis adventure a good one.
Fire & Ice
Platformers were all the rage during the early ’90s, and in some places, the Master System was still getting new releases. Tec Toy’s version of Fire & Ice tried to give the machine some new blood, but it the gameplay left more people cold than hot. Still, it’s not a bad game and one worth checking out if you’re a fan of Master System imports.
Jurassic Park (Master System)
Jurassic Park roared onto just about every piece of hardware that was out in 1993, including the Master System, which was still around in Europe. It may have been scaled down for the machine, but it offered an excellent adventure.
Sagaia (Master System)
Taito brought its Darius goodness to both the Genesis and the Master System (outside the U.S.), and the latter turned out to be a very good version. It’s lacking in some areas, but the overall essence of the game still shines through. Fans will want to try and catch this fish and give it a play.
