Though Accolade’s attempt a a space sim falls short, there’s enough done right to still make it worth some time. Slow and repetitive gameplay are likely to turn off gamers expecting a Genesis equivalent of TIE Fighter. However, those willing to stick to it for a while might find a title that’s playable and enjoyable, despite some major shortcomings.

Brett Hull Hockey ’95

With all the hockey games on the Genesis, you know there has to be a stinker somewhere. Well fans, let me introduce you to Accolade’s Brett Hull Hockey ’95, which more or less finds a way to get all the important things wrong. A horrible view perspective, annoying announcer, and spotty gameplay are just some of the problems that make this one to keep in the penalty box.

Jack Nicklaus’ Power Golf Challenge

Electronic Arts’ PGA Golf series reigned supreme on the Genesis, though there were a few quality games that saw released. There were also some stinkers, and with titles like Accolade’s Jack Nicklaus’ Power Golf Challenge, EA’s supremacy was in no danger. Winter Challenge

The Olympics may be over, but there are still a few gold medals to be had! Oh wait, that would probably work better if the game in question were actually good. Accolade’s Winter Challenge was much too ambitious for the hardware at the time, and the final product is a bland experience with tepid gameplay and an even worse framerate. Don’t believe us?
