Contrary to what many people think, Thunderbolt II is not a bootleg. It comes from the same unlicensed background as titles such as Beggar Prince and games released by Tengen and Accolade. It also only came out in Taiwan, which makes it extremely rare. But is it good? Read on and find out!

One of the final efforts by the Sega Technical Institute, The Ooze was released during the twilight of the Genesis’ life, as gamers were flocking to newer, 32-bit consoles. Many missed out on an engaging and challenging title that had a unique premise and offered solid action.

VR Troopers

Considered by most to be second-string Power Rangers, the V.R. Troopers took a back seat to Saban’s premier team of heroes in all areas, including video games. It’s not easy for a game to become a hit when the property it’s based on is struggling against a media juggernaut. It doesn’t help when the game stinks, either.

FIFA Soccer ’96

Though many would argue that Sensible Soccer was the better series, Electronic Arts’ FIFA games helped define the sport of soccer on the Genesis, and they are still very playable today. Some were better than others though, as evidenced by marked contrasts between the ’95 and ’96 installments.
