A shooter on the Sega CD should be a good thing. Games like Android Assault shows that such a thing is possible. Even adding full-motion video doesn’t equate to a lost cause, as Silpheed proves. If you’re looking for a new game to play, one you’ve never heard of before, you might want to give this one a try. It may not be the best platformer out there, but it’s charming and playable enough to warrant a look-see.
