Menacer 6-Game Cartridge

In only a few years, we went from the greatness that was Duck Hunt and Rescue Mission to the total mediocrity that was the Menacer 6-Game Cartridge. Seriously folks, it takes longer to assemble the darn thing than it does to play through this dull assortment of mini games, and you’ll quickly find yourself reaching for Terminator 2: The Arcade Game.

Chuck Rock (CD)

Core Design was a heavy supporter of the Genesis, and it brought that support to the Sega CD. Together with Virgin Games, Core ported its cartridge platformer Chuck Rock, adding in some cut scenes and a new soundtrack. Aside from these minor difference, however, the game essentially remained the same. Is it worth buying over the cartridge version?

Terminator

Virgin Games was entrusted with bringing to the Genesis James Cameron’s apocalyptic vision of a man fighting to avoid the death of the one person who could prevent world domination by ruthless machines. In addition to the cartridge game, versions of Terminator were released for the Sega CD and Game Gear, both of which turned out pretty darn good.

Toxic Crusaders

One of the more campy franchise spawned from the ’80s was The Toxic Avenger, which told the story of a nerd who became a super hero after being bathed in radioactive waste. It was later expanded into a failed cartoon and this horrible action game, which eventually proved that the property’s half-life wasn’t as long as some had hoped. Sega and Troma conspired to release this glowing turd, basing it on the poorly-received cartoon, and poor Toxie’s never been the same since.

Make Your Own Music Video: Marky Mark & the Funky Bunch

Somewhere, when no one is looking, Mark Wahlberg silently curses at his PC monitor as he scours eBay. The cause of his anger? Copies of Make My Video: Marky Mark & the Funky Bunch fetching BINs of ยข.99. The funny thing is, it’s not the price that has him upset; it’s the fact that copies of his FMV debut are still in circulation. Trust us, after playing this installment of the Make My Video series, we feel his pain.
