Todd’s Adventures in Slime World first debuted on the Atari Lynx but was eventually ported to the Genesis. I guess people just couldn’t get enough of dark, slimy environments filled with nasty creatures. Hmm, not everyone has a gas station restroom nearby, I guess!

Raiden Trad
Entries in the long-running Raiden series have been ported many times, most recently to mobile phones, and the Genesis got its share of the lovin’: Christmas-card-to-that-second-cousin-you-hardly-ever-see-type lovin’. It may have not been the best of the bunch, but hey, it was still Raiden. Doesn’t that count for something?
Sagaia
Taito has given many consoles a taste of its Darius franchise, and the Genesis was no exception. Though the name of the second game was changed to Sagaia, everything else is pure Darius fun. Our full report tells all, and you know you just can’t get enough of those massive space fish!
Paperboy
Unless you’ve been living under a rock for the last 20 years, you’ve undoubtedly played Paperboy. A little slice of Americana that was put into digital form, it gave youths everywhere free reign to smash people’s windows without having to worry about consequences. Thankfully, Tengen gave Genesis owners a port that was very faithful to the original, and we have a full review that shows how they compare.
M-1 Abrams Battle Tank
A full-blown 3D simulation on my Genesis? Not exactly, but close enough, I’d wager. If only the gameplay were as impressive as the concept itself. In any case, M-1 Abrams Battle Tank is fun for a while, even with its limitations. Read our full review and get ready to pretend that the Communists are still a threat.
