Released late in the lifespan of the Genesis, Ristar went unnoticed and unappreciated in 1995. The Game Gear version received equal treatment, though it was an excellent platformer that managed to retain all the charm and gameplay of its 16-bit sibling. Technos has released lots of games in its famous Kunio-kun series, including the famous River City Ransom. There were sports games too, like dodgeball. The Genesis version of the NES dodgeball game isn’t necessarily bad, but it will leave you wishing we’d gotten River City instead.
