The Dreamcast is highly renowned for its original and quirky games, and it benefited greatly from Sega’s ability to come up with fresh and unique ideas. Seaman was perhaps the best example of this creativity, and we had the chance to sit down with MariNaomi, the localization producer who wrote the English language script. Sonic Chaos (Game Gear)
Sonic had some special outings on the Game Gear, and they rank all over the spectrum of quality. Sonic Chaos was one release that had potential but that got bogged down by high difficulty, and repetitive gameplay. It’s still worth playing, and being a common title makes it easy to acquire. It’s not Sonic’s best effort, but it isn’t his worst, either.
College Football’s National Championship II
Have you played the first edition of Sega’s College Football’s National Championship? If so, you don’t have much reason to play the sequel. There’s little that’s new to it, and the fabled Sports Talk feature is gone. What remains is a lukewarm follow-up to what was a great college sports title.
