While Wrestling games usually seem to only come in handfuls, the Genesis actually had a bit more than that from which to choose. So, in honor of the upcoming Super Bowl of wrestling, here’s a little piece on what Sega’s 16-bit bad boy had to offer.

Chiki Chiki Boys
Chiki Chiki Boys is a great little game that plays a lot like Wonder Boy in Monster Land. Reprogrammed by Sega due to Capcom’s licensing issues with Nintendo, this colorful and engaging arcade port is a solid adventure that more people need to try out. It flew under the radar of a lot of people, and needs to be played!
Hands-On: Sega Classics Collection (PlayStation 2)
Sega is pretty hit-and-miss when it comes to compilations. None of its sets have ever been perfect, from the obligatorily Sonic CD-less Sonic collections, to the audio-butchered Sega Smash Packs, all have lacked something vital. With the practice of re-releasing classics titles very much in vogue at the moment, it seemed like the perfect moment for Sega to learn from past mistakes and finally give the masses what they want… and in typical Sega style, it missed the boat…again.
OutRun 2019
OutRun 2019 deviates from the classic formula the series is known for, and for that reason it’s the most controversial of the bunch. Deviation doesn’t necessarily mean inferiority, so this one may be worth checking out for fans of the OutRun games and racing lovers in general.
Home Alone
Despite the licensing curse that plagues most movie games, Home Alone wasn’t all that bad. With well-designed levels and solid gameplay, it manages to stay true to its source material while offering something original. This is definitely one to check out, and many people may have ignored it due to the license.
