WWF Rage in the Cage

One of the most dramatic of all wrestling matches is the cage match. Two men locked inside a massive cell of steel, with victory coming to the one who can climb his way out. WFF Rage in the Cage for the Sega CD centered its theme around this classic type of match, with completely mediocre results, despite having at its disposal all the advantages the new hardware offered. It was just another example of Genesis games being ported to CD with little extra effort.

Sports Talk Baseball

It’s almost spring, and that means it’s almost baseball season! The Genesis has a generous helping of games in the genre, and one of them is Sports Talk Baseball, Sega’s only attempt to expand its play-by-play line of sports games beyond the initial football offering. Featuring real players and some solid gameplay, it’s a great way to jump into the sport if you’re just looking for some arcade-style fun.

You can’t be a Sega fan without knowing about Digital Pictures. For almost half a decade, it was the company that seemed to be first out the door on a CD system, and it was practically synonymous with the Sega CD. Founder Tom Zito spread his full-motion video gospel around the industry with utter conviction, even challenging companies like Electronic Arts about who had the better games. Puzzle and Action: Tant-R

Like puzzle games? How about obscure titles never released outside of Japan? Until it made an appearance on the Sega Classics Collection, Puzzle & Action: Tant-R never ventured from the shores of its native land. Thankfully, it’s not a real problem if you don’t know the language, and it’s odd that Sega left this quirky little puzzler across the pond. Simple, fun, and full of charm, Tant-R is a game you might want to check out.
