Sega of America President Tom Kalinske did this interesting interview with the Spanish magazine TodoSega at the June ’93 CES. In it, he talks about all aspects of Sega’s business, including the Sonic 3, the Sega CD, Sega’s VR helmet, and the Saturn.

Flicky: Sega’s First Blue Mascot
Almost a decade before Sonic sped his way onto the Genesis, Sega had another blue mascot. Flicky hopped into the arcades in 1984 in a simple-yet-entertaining maze game. Eventually, the little blue bird would end up in Sonic’s world too.
Deep Fear
Sega’s answer to Resident Evil puts more emphasis on action than survival horror, but it manages to mix things up enough to offer a fun undersea romp with some inspired monster designs. The voice acting is atrocious, but the gameplay is solid enough to give fans of the genre another quality title for their Saturns.
