Slaughter Sport

Before Street Fighter II set the world on fire in 1991, there was Slaughter Sport. One of the weaker attempts at the genre, RazorSoft’s game almost had as many titles as it did characters, and it stunk equally under all of them. Poor presentation and stiff control come together to show just why Capcom revolutionized the genre later that same year.

Soccer is the world’s most popular sports, but that doesn’t exempt it from crappy games! There have been more than a fair share of duds from publishers over the year, and Super Kick Off sits comfortably on that list. Hey, it’s made by Tiertex! Need I say more?

Nadia: The Secret of Blue Water

Namco has done a competent job of capturing the charm and story of the famous anime, but the gameplay is hurt by the focus on story. It’s hard to have a great RPG without all the elements that make the genre what it is. Still, Nadia makes for a relaxing adventure without all the trappings of your typical RPG. If you’re looking for a different spin on a gaming standard, this one might be worth looking into.
