Robert De Niro as Frankenstein’s monster… just sit and think about that for a minute. De Niro is an incredible actor, but there’s something about him portraying Mary Shelly’s piecemeal gollom that just doesn’t click. I guess more than a few people felt the same way about Kenneth Branagh’s trainwreck adaptation of the classic Gothic novel, but of course, Sony Imagesoft had to check this one off on its list of licensed horrors. I think the game might actually be worse than the film, and in this case, that’s saying something.

John Madden Football ’92
Electronic Arts rose to sports prominence on the back of a hall of fame coach, and the ’92 edition of John Madden Football added some much-needed features. Dino Land
Despite all the advancements in game technology, pinball is still a blast to play. The Genesis has its fair share of games in the genre, and some are weirder than others. Take Renovation’s Dinoland, for example. Designed by the famous Wolfteam, it features a little dinosaur who takes ball form to save his girlfriend. Sound far fetched? Well, it’s probably no more odd than a hedgehog pinging around a ball field.
Wing Commander
The PC classic Wing Commander made its way to the Sega CD in 1994, and there was some compromises that had to be made in order for Origin Systems to squeeze the game onto Sega’s add-on. It mostly made the transition intact, and it picked up some great audio along the way as well.
