Taito’s sword-wielding barbarian hacks his way onto the Master System! A port of the popular arcade classic, the 8-bit version went through some graphical and gameplay changes in the process, but it does a surprisingly good job of capturing all the fun of the original. TNN Bass: Tournament of Champions
The Genesis has a surprisingly large number of fishing games available. Recreating the fun and atmosphere of the sport without all the waiting and tedium can be challenging, but a few, like TNN Bass Tournament of Champions, manage to pull it off for the most part. And there are no mosquitoes!
Tails’ SkyPatrol
The Game Gear gave Sonic’s sidekick Tails a chance to shine, and he was featured in several different types of games. A Japanese exclusive, Tails’ SkyPatrol was a shooter that’s as short as it is colorful. It may not be a long ride, but what’s there is worth looking into.
Beavis & Butthead (Game Gear)
Those two famous fart-knockers are on the Game Gear! At the height of their popularity, Beavis & Butthead were everywhere, including ever game console out there. Did they score with their Game Gear outing, or is it just more TP for your bunghole? Well, you’ll have to check out our full review to find out!
Ristar the Shooting Star
Released late in the lifespan of the Genesis, Ristar went unnoticed and unappreciated in 1995. The Game Gear version received equal treatment, though it was an excellent platformer that managed to retain all the charm and gameplay of its 16-bit sibling. It’s time to give this one the attention it deserves.
