Soccer fans who haven’t played Striker are missing out. It’s one of the better MD representations of the sport, but the fact that it only came out in Europe has probably kept many fans unaware of its existence. They should check it out, as its solid gameplay and great presentation are sure to thrill.
Genesis Reviews
Yogi Bear’s Cartoon Capers
Yogi may be smarter than the average bear, but his Mega Drive appearance was strictly average. The game lacks any major gameplay issues, but its cookie-cutter formula and boring gameplay does little to inspire. Players might find it more fun to look for picnic baskets in their local park than play through to the end.
Paprium
It took the better part of an entire decade, but WaterMelon’s massive brawler Paprium has finally arrived. After so long and so many promises, does it live up to expectations? The answer is mixed, but it’s definitely a game that’s worth giving some playtime.
Chester Cheetah: Too Cool to Fool
Cheeto’s mascot made two appearances on the Genesis. While not the deepest platformer, the first game isn’t necessarily bad. It just doesn’t go out of its way to do anymore than one would expect from a licensed product. It’s short and unpolished, but perhaps there’s some worth here for the curious.
LHX Attack Chopper
The Genesis hosts a slew of 3D military simulators, giving players the chance to pilot tanks, planes, and helicopters in flat-shaded, polygonal battlegrounds. Electronic Arts’ LHX Attack Chopper is one that has a decent game experience to offer if you can get past the slow pace and learning curve.
