Mario Kart for the SNES opened up a whole new racing genre, one companies have been trying to excel at for more than a decade. At one time, it seemed like every company with a mascot got in on the kart rage, and Core Design threw its hat into the ring with the Chuck Rock-inspired BC Racers. A game that should have been a showcase for the new 32X, it instead fell victim to the same dull and uninspired gameplay that plagued most of the other contenders to Mario’s crown. Night Trap (32X)

When Digital Pictures released Night Trap upon an unsuspecting populace back in 1993, it set off a firestorm of controversy that got as far as the U.S. Senate. A year later, a version came out for the Sega CD/32X combo, it barely caused a stir. That was probably because by then, the FMV fad had run its course. Even so, this improved edition boasts clearer video and a much cleaner interface. It’s still the same game though, and as with most FMV titles, you either love it or hate it. Corpse Killer (32X)

Digital Pictures sure took advantage of the CD medium. Some of the games stink, there’s no denying that. Some are still fun, in a campy sort of way. Corpse Killer is one such title. Originally released as a Sega CD game, it was cleaned up and became one of the few 32X/CD games made available. It’s cornball humor at its very best, and after laughing at just how bad the acting is, you might actually find yourself enjoying this one. NBA Jam Tournament Edition (32X)

The 32X got little love during its short and painful life, and if it received a port, then you knew it was officially ported to every console under the Sun at the time. NBA Jam Tournament Edition was a game that saw the rounds on machines of all types and power, from the Genesis to the Jaguar.
