Racing games can be fun on a handheld, especially when they’re part of Sega’s legendary motorcycle series. GP Rider manages to bring all the fun of the Hang-On games to the Game Gear, making this another quality title to add to your library. Don’t miss it!

Battletoads (Game Gear)

The NES classic pummels its way onto the Game Gear, but it seems like this port is what took a beating. Playing far worse than the 8-bit and Genesis versions, Battletoads on the Game Gear is devoid of everything that made the series so much fun. Another example of what happens when a series is farmed out to a different developer.

Rampage

Like giant monsters and trashing cities? Who doesn’t? Luckily, Bally Midway’s arcade classic Rampage smashed its way onto the Master System in 1989, and it was a great port. Two-player simultaneous destruction and 50 stages made it a great game to play in short bursts.

SegaSonic The Hedgehog

SegaSonic The Hedgehog was one of the few games in the franchise to not see a home release, due to its trackball control scheme. Thankfully, it can still be played via emulation in MAME.
