Mickey’s first outing on the Master System was different than the Genesis game but just as good. Great visuals and solid gameplay make for a wonderful Disney adventure that anyone with a Master System should have in their library. Fans of the Genesis version should check it out to see a whole different adventure than the one they’re used to.

Altered Beast (Master System)
Altered Beast is an arcade and Genesis classic, but the Master System version is woefully inferior. Horrible graphics and sound, reduced stages and gameplay elements, and poor control make this one beast that deserves to be put down. Do yourself a favor and get the superior Genesis version instead.
Taz-Mania (Game Gear)
Taz-Mania on the Genesis was a great game with incredible visuals and solid gameplay. Sadly, the Game Gear version bears little resemblance in quality, and sluggish gameplay ruins what could have been a great port. Fans of the character should stick to the Genesis games instead and avoid this one unless they absolutely need to play every Taz game there is.
Incredible Crash Dummies (Game Gear)
Licensed games are often bad, and when they’re little more than a collection of mini games, they can quickly lose whatever charm their license held. Incredible Crash Dummies is a perfect example of a licensed title that offers only brief entertainment and becomes too repetitive too quickly. What’s there is not actually bad; it’s just that there’s just not enough of it.
Sonic The Hedgehog 2 (Game Gear)
Sonic’s adventures on the Game Gear tend to be underappreciated, and that’s a shame. Far more than mere ports, they’re solid platforming goodness that Sega fans should take some time to enjoy. His second outing is one of the handheld’s classic titles that captures all the charm and action of its 16-bit sibling.
