Humans

Guiding mindless little creatures around a level so that they don’t blindly fall to their death seems to have caught on, as evidenced by the success of Lemmings. There have been several other entries in this style of games, and Gametek’s The Humans has players taking the fate of the human race in their hands. Are we worth saving? Mary Shelley’s Frankenstein

Robert De Niro as Frankenstein’s monster… just sit and think about that for a minute. De Niro is an incredible actor, but there’s something about him portraying Mary Shelly’s piecemeal gollom that just doesn’t click. I guess more than a few people felt the same way about Kenneth Branagh’s trainwreck adaptation of the classic Gothic novel, but of course, Sony Imagesoft had to check this one off on its list of licensed horrors. I think the game might actually be worse than the film, and in this case, that’s saying something.

Dino Land

Despite all the advancements in game technology, pinball is still a blast to play. The Genesis has its fair share of games in the genre, and some are weirder than others. Well, it’s probably no more odd than a hedgehog pinging around a ball field.

Wing Commander

The PC classic Wing Commander made its way to the Sega CD in 1994, and there was some compromises that had to be made in order for Origin Systems to squeeze the game onto Sega’s add-on. It mostly made the transition intact, and it picked up some great audio along the way as well.

Uncharted Waters 2: New Horizons

It must be really cool to be a pirate. Sailing wherever you want, plundering and looting at a whim, and all the wenches and rum you can handle! For some reason, video games have never gotten that last part right, but they make up for with an engaging storyline and customizable ships! New Horizons: Uncharted Waters 2 is the sequel to the popular pirate RPG that lets players continue the adventure of expanding their wealth and fame as one of the buccaneers of the Caribbean. What it lacks in wenches, it makes up for in great combat and fun!
