Chiki Chiki Boys
Chiki Chiki Boys is a great little game that plays a lot like Wonder Boy in Monster Land. Reprogrammed by Sega due to Capcom’s licensing issues with Nintendo, this colorful and engaging arcade port is a solid adventure that more people need to try out. It flew under the radar of a lot of people, and needs to be played!
Bonanza Bros.
Another gem from Sega’s closet of barely known games would be thief based Bonanza Bros., released on the Mega Drive. Containing qualities that could be a violent adult based game Sega molded it nicely into something that the younger generation could relate to and also providing a fun yet short challenge for the rest of us.
Golden Axe II
The sequel to the classic Golden Axe returns to the tried-and-true formula that made the original so much fun, but it’s lacking in a few areas. It’s still a great game worth playing, and any fan of the original should definitely try this one out.
Splatterhouse 3
Arising from the mediocrity that was Splatterhouse 2 came a sequel with that packed a little more punch and bled a little more blood. Namco picked up the rusty and cranky gameplay and polished it up a lot, creating not only the best in the series but also a great beat-em-up that was absolutely crammed to the fullest with challenge, a ton of unforgettable action, and most importantly a pile of unnecessary violence and gore.
